Dorking Defend ZNA Trophy
for a Second Year

DSC hosted the annual ZNA Gala at their home pool at Dorking
Sports Centre, competing against 5 other teams: Horsham Atlantis,
Sutton & Cheam, Wimbledon Dolphins, TASS, and Tonbridge
Swimming Club.
The competition was close all evening, but at the half way point
Tonbridge were in 1st place leading Dorking by 4 points,
and Wimbledon close behind in 3rd.
There were strong swims from George Synnott in the 50m Back who
took 3 seconds of his pb to take 1st place. Huw Morgan
in the 25m Fly pulled out an 18.90sec time smashing his pb. Nathan
McCleeve took 2 seconds off his 50m back time and Patrick Bance an
amazing 5 seconds pb on 50m Breaststroke. Adam Pritchard swam a
fantastic 50m Backstroke to take 1st place and a 3
second pb. For the girls, Imogen Morris rose to the 50m Fly
challenge and took 2nd place and a new pb time, Anna
Griffiths also pb'd in her Breaststroke, and Stephanie Wilson also
took over a second off her current 50m Free time. A strong swim
from Jasmine Strudwick meant that she also took 2 seconds off her
Breaststroke pb as well.
It was in the relays were Dorking dominated the swimming, with
slick take-overs and powerful swims to steam into the lead from
event 30, through to the final squadron relay finishing 8 meters in
front of the 2nd place team and overall 10 points ahead
to defend our title of ZNA Winners.
Jo Langham, Team Manager said, "An amazing night of swimming
from the DSC Team, they were determined not to be beaten, it was
Fantastic. Also great to see our Club Captains Seb Fox and
